Manchester City have solidified their long-term partnership with Puma, extending their kit deal for at least another 10 years in a landmark agreement worth a minimum of £1 billion. This monumental deal, the largest in Premier League history, will see Puma remain as City’s kit supplier until at least 2035, with the club set to earn a record £100 million annually.
The extension builds on the initial £65 million-per-year deal signed in 2019, which has now been significantly upgraded. This new agreement surpasses Manchester United’s £90 million-a-year deal with Adidas, signed in 2023, and Liverpool’s reported £60 million-a-year contract with Nike, which began this season.
Since partnering with Puma in 2019, Manchester City have enjoyed a golden era, winning four Premier League titles and achieving the historic Treble in the 2022-23 season. Although the club finished the 2023-24 campaign without a major trophy, their global appeal and commercial success have continued to grow.
City’s financial performance has also reached new heights, with the club announcing a Premier League record revenue of £715 million in their accounts up to 30 June 2024. Commercial revenue rose slightly from £341.4 million to £344.7 million, further underscoring the club’s financial strength.
Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group (CFG), praised the partnership, stating: “We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons. Puma have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we have enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally.”
Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld echoed Soriano’s sentiments, highlighting the success of the collaboration: “Puma’s partnership with Manchester City has been a great success both on and off the pitch. Trophies, a perfect stage for our performance products, and commercial success were exceptional.”
The extended partnership cements Manchester City’s position as a global football powerhouse, with Puma playing a key role in the club’s continued growth and success. The deal also reflects the increasing commercial value of Premier League clubs, with City leading the way in securing record-breaking agreements.
