Snoop Dogg Becomes Co-Owner of Swansea City

Rapper and global icon Snoop Dogg has officially become a co-owner and investor at Swansea City after acquiring a minority stake in the Championship club.

Snoop Dogg made headlines last weekend when he appeared as the surprise model for Swansea’s 2025–26 home kit launch. Now, the club has confirmed that the 53-year-old American star has joined their ownership group—following in the footsteps of Real Madrid and Croatia legend Luka Modrić, who also invested in the club earlier this year.

“My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City,” Snoop Dogg told the club’s official website.
“The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back—just like me. I’m proud to be part of Swansea City.”

Swansea announced in April that Luka Modrić, who has since joined AC Milan, had taken a stake in the club following a takeover led by American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen in November 2024.

Now, Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, has joined the ownership with a pledge to “do all I can to help the club.” With over 100 million followers across his social media platforms, his presence is expected to significantly boost the club’s global profile.

Snoop’s involvement is believed to have come through a mutual connection with Cravatt and Cohen, aligning with the owners’ long-term plan to increase revenue and raise Swansea’s visibility worldwide. The additional income would allow greater investment in the squad under current profit and sustainability rules.
