Liverpool Turn Down Bayern Munich’s £58.6m Bid for Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz in action for Liverpool

Liverpool have refused a £58.6 million proposal from Bayern Munich for Colombian winger Luis Diaz.

The Bundesliga giants made contact with Liverpool earlier this month, only to be informed that Diaz was not available for transfer.

That message was made even clearer on Tuesday, when Liverpool officially rejected Bayern’s opening offer for the 28-year-old star, who joined the Reds from Porto in January 2022.

Liverpool reportedly value Diaz at over £87 million, considering him an essential part of Arne Slot’s attacking plans. His current contract runs until summer 2027.

Diaz was in fine form last season, netting 22 goals across all competitions—13 of them in the Premier League, where Liverpool clinched the title with a 10-point lead.

The Colombian forward had previously drawn attention from Manchester City and remains a target for clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are actively pursuing a new striker, with strong interest in Newcastle’s Swedish international Alexander Isak. Sources suggest the Reds have made genuine moves toward a deal for Isak, while also exploring other centre-forward options.
